I'm falling behind on this blog. I may end up just terminating it altogether so I can focus on my original.
I am thankful for my washer and dryer. They are old and make a ton of noise, but can you imagine going to the laundry mat every Thursday with eight loads of laundry? Or even doing all eight loads by hand. yuck. I think I would give up and just buy new clothes all the time. I don't have the money for that, so I am so happy that someone got smart enough to invent these two wonderful machines.

News
Yay for Elizabeth Smart and her family. I can't believe that it took eight years to find this idiot guilty! I am so thankful that the day has finally come and we can put Him behind bars not a mental institution.

Small blessings.
Wow! I just found out that I won $25 to the battle creek boutique in Pleasant Grove. It might seem like something awesome and just a coincidence, but this is such a small miracle.
Just yesterday we were going over the budget and realized that Christmas wasn't really going to be a Christmas for us this year. The kids got taken care of early, so no need to worry about them. They are going to be set. But, Robert and I had agreed, just last night, that our budget for one another was about fifty dollars. I was so relieved to set a smaller budget this year, but it's very humbling to know that you won't get what everyone else will be getting. It's really embarrassing when you get asked the dreaded question "What did you guy's get this year?" (I'm so emotional about this) I don't like answering "beads" because you always get "what else?" What can you say to that? You would try to act happy and make up some excuse like "We wanted to keep it simple this year", or "We are waiting for the sales next week".
I'm not saying that we are poor or destitute, by any means. We do have a little nest egg in our savings account. We have a roof over our heads and clothes on our backs. We pay our bills on time and we are able to feed our children and we manage to gain unwanted weight, so we have sufficient for our needs. There are many other people in this state and even town that are worse off than we are.
But still, this $25 will help this year, not very much, yet it's a small burden lifted off our backs. We'll be able to get some stocking stuffers and maybe a family gift as well. I am so grateful for this wonderful blessing!

Birthday
So happy for my little man! He can be a pain, but I love him. He helps get me the diapers and even throws them away for me. He gives hugs to His little sister and parents when needed. He loves to dance and to play. I am so glad that He has been in my life for three short years. I am looking forward to the years to come and getting to know Him better.

Cleaning
I am thankful for the broom, the vacume, the rag. You get the picture. I hate cleaning, but seriously, without these things it would be soooo much worse. We could be cleaning our carpets with a sweeper. ugh. Oh and the lawn mower! How did anyone keep their yard so trim and neat without it? Scissors? You have got to be kidding me.

Day and Age.
Today and probably forever, I am grateful for the age I live in. I know it's a political pig stie and the financial state of this country sucks, but I'm still glad to be in it. Think about it, with all this bad comes all of the great. We have computers that fit in our pockets (not that I own one), camera's that can hold hundreds upon hundreds of photo's, and indoor plumbing. I can go to the store and buy maternity clothes instead of sewing them. Even if I did sew them I wouldn't have to spend days doing every stitch by hand. We have machines to do that for us. I can buy soap that kills 98% of germs, for heavens sake! How cool is that? We don't have to boil down ashes and animal fat anymore. I can straighten my hair when it's wavy and curl it when its straight. You used to have to go around with bad hair days. I don't know how we ever did without the bobby pin. We have shampoo that smells wonderful and conditioner! We have lotions and creams that erase wrinkles and dark eye bags. We have magic boxes that play our favorite shows when we're bored. We have the ability to talk to someone in France or Africa through phone or internet.
How cool is this age we live in?

Answers
I am thankful for answered prayers. I know it's a silly thing to pray about, but when our silly cat came home we were all so happy. The kids have missed him, heck, I've missed him (which I didn't think I would). Robert missed the cat most of all. It was his first pet and the cat took to Robert more than any of us. So, I'm glad Heavenly Father sent our silly cat away, that way we would know what we were missing. It also gave us the opportunity to test our faith a little bit.

clothes
I am so grateful for all of the hand me down clothes Lillian just recieved. Lillian's one dress was shrinking and fast. It was such a blessing to recieve several new dresses that will last through the year. She already walks around in them (After picking them out herself) and says "I'm pretty. I cute. I pretty."
So thank you for those clothes. Lillian loves them!!

F.H.E.
I am so grateful for family home evening. We just started doing it as a small family. The kids love it and I love spending time together. Monday night is one of the very few times we are all together.
I didn't think that they would get it, so we never did. A neighbor with the same amout of kids at the same age as us inspired me to start. Her daughter was so excited for family night that she didn't care if it was a day early. I'm so glad that we started.

Left overs
I'm getting kind of redundant, I know. But, I am so grateful for left overs. What would I do without them? Tonight I can rest easy knowing that I don't have to cook a large meal for the three of us. (Robert is going to be at a camp out with the young men) There are some meals that I won't save. Like ground beef, how do you reheat that without it getting chewy? Please let me know if it's a possiblity, I've tried. Spagehetti noodles are not a keeper. yuck.
I am also grateful for my kids. I know that they have been driving me crazy this week, but I do love them. I'm going to try and make this weekend alone with them a good one. Maybe we'll all stay up late eating candy and watching movies. I don't know, but it will be fun, whatever we do.

Candy
i am thankful for the sweet joy of candy! This year I can't get enough of the fruity candy, dumb dumbs, air heads, laffy taffy's. Yummy! I know it's silly to be thankful for candy, but what would I do without it? I would probably not weigh as much as I do, or not.. I think I'd replace it with bread. Bread is sooo good when it's fresh and cut thick with butter melting on it. yummy.
So I guess I'm thankful for this pregnancy giving me the leway to eat what I want.

Today is going to be a hard entry for me. I had such a horrible day yesterday that it's given me a gloomy look at things.
I guess I am grateful for books. It was the only thing that kept me sane yesterday and it will probably be the only thing to keep me sane in the near future. We take advantage of the mirical of books everyday. Two hundred years ago books were hard to come by and expensive. Now we can buy them online, in bookstores, check them out of the library if your poor like me. We don't even have to hold a book to read a book. (I still prefere the old fashioned papercut way)
I get so thirsty for a good book, when I find one I read it in two days. If anyone has a good book that I can borrow I'll take it.

Thanksgiving.
I guess it is the season to start saying what you are thankful for and this is the "count your blessings" blog, so I've decided to do better this November.
Today I am thankful for my husband who does the dishes every night in our horrible dishwasher. I know He hates doing dishes and I am grateful that He does them for me so I don't throw up. Every pregnancy I have gone through I can't do the dishes. I take one sniff and I turn green. I hate touching left over food and soggy bread. uggggg. I hate just thinking about it.
So thank you, thank you, thank you Robert!

Tylenol!
What pregnant women doesn't love tylenol? Well, I actually hate it, but can't live without it. I just wish there was a safe drug for me to take for migraines. Someone get on that please.
I am so excited for the day when I don't have to take any tylenol. Right now I'm up to eight or ten a day. So no ideal! I've tried everything I can think of, I've drunk my weight in water and eaten in small meals throughout the day etc... Nothing. I haven't tried staying in bed all day, but who can do that? I'm just so grateful that my two kids are old enough to play while I'm hugging the toilet or when I'm in a daze on the couch.

Pie
I am grateful for pumpkin pie! Who doesn't love pumpkin pie? I think it makes everything better and it has way less fat and calories than it's counterpart, the chocolate silk pie. mmm.
I am also very grateful to my husband who stayed home yesterday to take care of me. I was throwing up my lungs and needed help. He hates missing work so it makes it that much more special when He does call in. We had a fun night so mommy could take it easy. Daddy made pizza and we watched movies with popcorn and candy.

First trimester
I am sooo grateful that I've made it past the first trimester! What a great feeling to be a little more than a third of the way done. I was reminded twice this week that I need to stop complaining about this pregnancy. There are thousands of women that want to be in my shoes no matter how bad it gets. There are also hundreds of women that have pregnancies so much worse than mine will ever be. i am grateful for these small reminders and I need to get better.
If I start to complain again, please tell me to shut up. I can be so insensitive sometimes.

Weekends
I was so grateful for General Conference this weekend. There was a lot of great talks this time and I can't wait until next April.
I think my favorite talk was Brother Holland's and one of the Seventies during the Sunday afternoon session: The one about teenagers. The whole time during His talk, I was just hoping that my kids aren't mutants when they are teens.
I am also thankful for the wonderful Turkey that my mother cooked, sooo yummy. I like not having to cook every first Sunday, it's nice.

Sewing
This morning was a great one.
I was sitting on my couch looking at my ugly, hand-sewn pillow, thinking "I really need a sewing machine." I then started thinking about how ugly my curtains are because they are about ten inches too long and dragging on the floor.
Just as I was thinking this the phone rang. It was my visiting teacher asking me if I wanted her old sewing machine. I've never had one of those moments. It certainly wasn't a prayer for food or money for bills, but it meant so much to me. I am grateful that She took the time to bring it over to me and show me how to set it up.
I've already sewn another pillow. (I tried a skirt for lillian and it didn't turn out like I wanted it too).

Budgets
I am soooooo thankful for budgets! I am also glad that my mother taught me the value of a penny. I don't know where we would be without the knowledge my parents gave me.
People will say we are crazy for spending all of our tax returns on our car payments or hospital bills. I've heard on many occasions that it should go to something fun. I'm constantly thinking of what my house could look like or what I could dress like if I spent money on these things. I criticise myself for not buying picture frames or floral arrangements. I get embarrassed when I walk into someones home and it is beautiful when mine isn't.
But, I was thinking today, where we are and where we could be. I don't think I'd be in a house, I doubt I'd have both cars paid off or no credit cards, and I really can say that we'd be in a tight pickle, panicking all day, if we had not sacrificed a few vacations or nice dinners.
So this one goes out to Budgets, being embarrassed about my plain home and my parents. Thank you for teaching me when I was three to save my pennies.

Boating
Today I am grateful that my parents actually invited us to go boating. I know, it's never happened before, We are always left behind and forgotten about.
We told Matthew about it and He associates the boat with the one in finding Nemo, so He is thrilled. He was all ready to go on the boat last night. "Ok, lets go on the boat!" And He would try to open the front door.
I'm just a nervous mom and I'm thinking about all that could go wrong. My kids drowning, me drowning, Robert drowning. Someone getting a hand chopped off by the propeller etc... I guess it's a pregnancy dream while awake.

friends
Last night some friends of ours came over for dinner. It was so much fun to be able to hang out with another couple. We've had company before that wasn't family and it's just akward, they wouldn't get the hint to leave and they were an hour late! I hate lateness and if your more that twenty minutes late, don't show up. So I am thankful for friends that were on time and agreeable. lol.
I am also so thankful that Robert cleaned last night. He is so nice to me, especially when I get tired and sit down half way through. He finished cleaning all of the rooms by Himself and it looks awesome.

Matthew
It is so fun to hear Matthew using sentences. I love to hear Him tell me what He is up too, or what He wants to do that day. He is also a little parrot, we have to be so careful about what we say around Him.
I am grateful for Him especially today and this month, because He has been such a helpmate to me. He gets me diapers when I ask and doesn't need to be asked to find the wipes. He just knows to get them. He'll even throw away the diapers after I've folded them up for Him.
I know that Matthew is going to be so good with this baby. He is already talking to it and giving my belly kisses. It is so sweet!

lotion.
I am so glad that Robert was willing to rub my neck and shoulder yesterday. I think it was a big help towards feeling somewhat normal.
I am also very glad that Robert was willing to go to the Payson car show with me. Matthew loved it, there were so many awesome cars. He would point to all the ones He liked and would tell us so. There were two or three that He even made me run to.
I hope next year We'll be able to make it to the dutch oven cook off. I was looking forward to it all week, but I couldn't handle the crowds or the sun any longer.

Blessings
So, I haven't written a post in a while. I'm sorry for that. I've been in the fetal position all week.
This is why I'm grateful for priesthood blessings. I love the comfort it gives you, even if they don't say that you'll be healed that minute and never throw up again. I wish it would happen sometimes, but that isn't realistic.
I am so grateful for family. It was so much fun celebrating Roberts birthday last night. Watching all the cousins play dress up in halloween costumes was the best part.

glasses
Today I realized that I am grateful for my glasses. Yes, even though they are broken and pieced together with tape, I am glad to have them. I think they are the key to the less seveire headaches.
I still have a headache, but nowhere nears as painful.
I'm also glad for Robert, again. For getting me all asiago bagels when I know He likes cinnamon sugar.

This morning.
I am grateful that so far so good on the migraine status. I can deal with morning sickness, but I cannot handle both at the same time.
I am grateful for Robert and the fact that He spoils me. We went to the grocery store last night and He let me pick out whatever sounded good. This morning I am so so so happy for that. If it weren't for the sour patch kids and the salt and vinegar chips I'd be out for the count. For some reason the salt and the sour are keeping me ok for the moment. Who knew?

Sorry
I know it's been a while, but I've been sick and busy.
I am grateful for lillian sneezing the bead out of her nose before we got to the hospital. I am also grateful that we were able to get the second one out ourselves.
I am so so grateful for a husband that will run to golden coral just for their crab salad and then to walmart just for ginger ale. I'm grateful that He is willing to do the dishes after a long day at work and that He doesn't say anything when the house is a mess.
I'm also grateful that Robert has gotten used to throw up.

Cooking
I am so excited to tell you that I cooked my first roast. It was so good! We ate more than half of it. (it was a small two pounder.)
So I am thankful that it turned out, because I've been craving red meat. I always do and I blame it on my iron deficiency.
I am also thankful that Matthew is old enough to fetch me diapers and wipes. He is such a good little helper!

Wow!
I am so sore from laying six pallets of sod yesterday! I am so grateful for the blessing of tylenol this morning. I'm just grateful that I am able to take something, anything, during pregnancy.

Man I'm sore.
Today I am so thankful for TIna. Holy cow that woman has energy! We were about half way done with laying sod in our yard and it had been three hours. She came over with her wheel barrow and pushed us to get the rest of it done in another two hours. If she hadn't come along we wouldn't have finished, because we were losing steam... fast!
There were some bad points about tonight, but this is not the blog to do that. Even though I could scream about it, I won't.

Big Sister
I am so happy that I called my big sister yesterday. It was nice just to be able to talk and try to plan a few things for Disneyland. She was willing to talk to me and we talked for about an hour. It put me in a good mood for the rest of the day.
Thanks Jenny.

Sisters
I am thankful for visiting teaching, again.
I walked the kids to my companions house and we went to our second appointment for this month. I gave the lesson again. I am thankful for visiting teaching because, I don't know, I can't pin point it. It just feels good to be doing it.
I am thankful for my fat pants, because there is no way I'd be clothed today without them!
And I am thankful for Otter Pops. I love how they cool me down. mmm.

Two in one.
Sorry, I forgot to write yesterday.
I am thankful for church. I love sunday mornings, don't you? Espesially when it's not nine o'clock church block.
I am also greatful for unexpected family visits. It was such a good visit last night. I think that living thirty minutes away makes the times we do see my family so much better.
I'm keeping this one short because my kids are waking up.

Flat
This morning I am so thankful that we have just a little extra money in our account. Robert woke me up this morning to a flat tire. I am also grateful that it happened in the driveway and not on the freeway.
I just want to find out just exactly how our cars know about this little money we have? They know about it and they want it. Cars can be so greedy!
Now we just need to trade Robert's in, kill it, or fix it. ugh.

The kids.
Today I am so thankful that my children can play together. They have gotten to the age where they want time by themselves and I am more than willing to give it to them.
I am really happy for this today, because Matthew has given me whatever he had earlier this week. It is nice that the kids are letting me be sick while playing nicely together. I shouldn't say "nicely" I should say "playing together like siblings do". They are good kids and I think I take that for granted a lot.

This is getting difficult.
This is a hard entry. I should tell you that yesterday was full of high temperatures and working in the yard. I guess I should be grateful for children's Tylenol and warm baths. Poor little Matthew was so sick yesterday that Lillian was holding his hand for the entirety of Finding Nemo and He didn't care.
I am also grateful that Man invented the shovel. Digging in the yard sucks, but how much more crappier would it have been without tools? I don't even want to think of it.

Cookies.
Today I am so thankful for my neighbors. I was so surprised when one of the neighbors came over with her kids and a plate of cookies. She isn't even in my ward, but she took the time to get to know me. (So unusual for Utah). Matthew was so excited to play with someone besides His sister.
Her and I talked for over an hour! I am an introvert and don't usual like unexpected company, but I was so thrilled that She came over. It's strange how you can just connect with someone you've never talked to before.
Her cookies weren't too shabby either. Chocolate is always a hit in my home.
Later in the day I had another neighbor come and bring another plate of chocolate cookies. Can I tell you that I love this area!? We didn't talk long, but I always like Her company. We always sit together in church, it might not seem like a big deal, but I've never had anyone sit with me. Ever. Unless they were family of course.
Well, I guess I can also say that I am grateful for all the yummy cookies in my house, even if I need to loose a few pounds. :)
